Indian Army TGC 145 Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications	• Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or are in the final year of the engineering degree course in the notified streams from an AICTE-recognized University or Institute. • M.Sc. Computer Science: Candidates holding an M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized University are also eligible for the computer science stream.
Final Year Appearing Candidates	Candidates studying in the final year of their engineering degree are eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the degree examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years to the Directorate General of Recruiting by 01 July 2027.
Marital Status	Only Unmarried Male Candidates are eligible for the Technical Graduate Course. Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete the full training period at IMA Dehradun.

Age Limit Criteria (as on 01 July 2027)

• Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
• Maximum Upper Age Limit: 27 Years (Candidate must not have been born earlier than 02 July 2000 and not later than 01 July 2007, both dates inclusive).
• Age Relaxation: As per Indian Army regulations, no age relaxation is admissible beyond the prescribed upper age bracket of 27 years.

Indian Army TGC 145 Selection Process

The recruitment process under Indian Army TGC 145 Recruitment 2026 comprises five sequential stages:

1. Shortlisting of Applications: Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) fixes cut-off percentages based on engineering semester aggregate marks to shortlist candidates for SSB interviews.
2. SSB Interview (5-Day Stage Evaluation): Shortlisted candidates undergo a 5-day SSB interview at Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar):
   • Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT).
   • Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, and Personal Interview followed by the Final Board Conference.
3. Special Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a thorough medical board examination at designated Military Hospitals.
4. Document Verification: Scrutiny of matriculation certificates, original B.E./B.Tech degree/provisional degree, and semester-wise mark sheets.
5. Merit List & Joining: Final joining letters are issued strictly in order of merit based on SSB marks, subject to medical fitness and vacancy availability in the respective engineering stream.
