SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Sub-Inspector (Delhi Police)	• Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University or equivalent. • Driving License (Male Candidates): Must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests.
Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs	• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. Final-year appearing students may also apply provisionally.
Sub-Inspector (Fire) CISF	• B.Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), OR • Matriculation (10th) with a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical, or Telecommunication Engineering.

Age Limit Criteria (as on 01 August 2026)

• For Delhi Police & CAPFs (GD): 20 to 25 Years (Candidate must be born between 02.08.2001 and 01.08.2006).
• For SI (Fire) in CISF: 18 to 30 Years (Candidate must be born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation, OBC candidates receive 3 years, and Ex-Servicemen receive relaxation as per Central Government norms.

SSC CPO SI Selection Process & Physical Standards

The recruitment process under SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026 comprises four sequential phases:

1. Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination): 200 Questions (200 Marks) in 2 Hours covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension with 0.25 negative marking.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying physical events:
   • Male PST: Height 170 cm (165 cm for Hilly/ST), Chest 80–85 cm.
   • Female PST: Height 157 cm (154 cm for Hilly/155 cm for ST).
   • Male PET: 100m sprint in 16 seconds, 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes, Long Jump 3.65m, High Jump 1.2m, Shot Put (16 Lbs) 4.5m.
   • Female PET: 100m race in 18 seconds, 800m race in 4 minutes, Long Jump 2.7m, High Jump 0.9m.
3. Paper-II (English Language & Comprehension): 200 Questions (200 Marks) in 2 Hours for candidates who qualify PST/PET.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Comprehensive health and eye test (6/6 and 6/9 without glasses) conducted by CAPF medical boards.
